I have a 2door hyundai accent, and it's a pain in the butt. I miss his infant seat for the ease of putting him in the car. Taking this seat out is a bigger PITA though. Now with the rear facing convertible car seat it's an exercise in frustration. I find it easier to go through the passenger door, so I don't have to keep readjusting the driver seat. Be careful not to bonk his head on the roof of the car when putting him in, although the tuque may cushion the blow a bit, lol. DH jokes that he uses the hatchback trunk to put him in and take him out of the car seat. To take my son out while he's sleeping, I put my knee up on the seat and hug him out of the car seat, then go out of the car butt first so he remains cuddled in my arms.

ok. uh first off. if you can't see anything on your moniter then how can you type this question.

Anyway, open up the side of your computer and look inside. Find the video card. Get a good look at it. it is a circut board that is plugged into a slot usually right in the middle of your computer. It usuallys has a little fan on the circit boards surface. Might say ATi or Nvidia or something. It might be a generic video card and say nothing. You wont be able to find out exact information on your video card unless you can go into control panel or you pull it out of the slot inside your computer and examine it. Once you find out what type of card it is, brand, model number, try contacting the company and asking for technical solutions. Gaurenteed they will be able to give you more trouble shooting tips than anyone on yahoo answers. Try unplugging the card and then putting it back in the slot again. Try unplaugging the moniter possibly dusting the connector with a spray duster.

If your really having trouble and all else fails. Get a computer technician to have a look at it. Take it to a computer shop, or call a private service company but by all means AVOID GEEK SQUAD.

just be careful when working inside your computer. make sure it's unplugged so you don't get electrocuted and make sure your gentle. Some parts in there will break easily while others can take quite a beating. Sometimes when removing a video card it takes allitle force as well as putting back in. 5 Of Ando Hiroshige's Best Landscape Woodblock Designs

Ando Hiroshige (1797-1858) is generally considered the greatest Ukiyo-e artist (together with the great Hokusai) of the landscape genre. He was a son of an Edo (today's Tokyo) firewarden and although he succeeded on an early age to his father's hereditary post the attraction of becoming a woodblock designer dominated. He became a student of Utagawa Toyohiro (1773-1828) and studied the classical tradition of the Kano painting style. Hiroshige was also very much interested and influenced by the Western artists and their view on depicting the landscape and the perspective.   The following five woodblock designs are from two of Hiroshige's finest contributions to Japanese art, namely his series 'Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido' (c.1833-34) and 'One Hundred Famous on Edo' (c.1856-59)    

Nocturnal Snowfall in Kambara (Station 16 in the series 'Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido' )   

Hiroshige was fascinated by the realism of photography and the possibilities of incorporating its compositions to his woodblock designs. One of his best known examples is the Sudden Shower print which along with his Plum Garden design inspired Van Gogh. Hiroshige depicts six townspeople caught in a sudden downpour on the Ohashi bridge. On the Sumida river a raftsman, wearing a straw raincoat, tries to control his raft through the fast running water. A rather traditional scene depicting the town of Kambara covered under a thick white blanket of snow. On the right of the image two travellers walking uphill just passed by a local residant who's holding an umbrella. All three are trudging through the snow leaving their footprints while large flakes fall from the dark sky. What makes this design so extraordinary is the minimal use of colour and the skilful manner in which Hiroshige depicts snow giving this scene a forceful poetic effect. Strangely enough Kambara is situated near a warm stretch of coast, where it seldomly snows, so this scene probably represents an ebullition of Hiroshige's imagination.    

Sudden Rainstorm at Shono (Station 46 in the series 'Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido' )   

In this most famous of all Hiroshige's prints some inhabitants of Shono are overtaken by a sudden downpour and are running for shelter. Two palanquin bearers and their human freight are running up the steep mountain accompanied by a basket-seller. Running down the mountain are a traveller and his servant with the latter one holding an umbrella. The countryside is heavily veiled in rain with the town Shono barely visible.    In this dynamic composition Hiroshige has divided the space in audacious triangles of varying depth with the two groups of figures running in opposite directions out of the frame. Hiroshige creates a perspective depth using different shades of black on the bamboo forest effectively contrasting with the overall colour composition giving it an almost idyllic feel.    

Plum Orchard in Kameido (a.k.a. Plum Garden) (Print 30 in the series 'One-Hundred Views on Edo' )  

Hiroshige's Plum Garden is a perfect example of the symbiotic exchange between the artists of the East and the West. In this daring composition (and in many others in this series) Hiroshige applies the repoussoir device, which was a common technique in Western art, placing a large plum-tree to the foreground with the twigs dividing the image in seperate parts. The visitors in the background, who enjoy the sight of these trees, almost look like little puppets. The red of the sky and the green of the landscape represent the two major contrasting hues and enhance the impression of uniqueness expressed by the picture. The print is probably best known as a model for Vincent van Gogh's copy in oils.    

Sudden Shower at Ohashi (a.k.a. Sudden Shower) (Print 52 in the series 'One-Hundred Views on Edo' )    

The vertical lines of the rain accentuated by the vertical format of the print are masterfully counterbalanced by the diagonal lines of the bridge on the foreground and the riverbank in the background. In an earlier impression (most probably an earlier "proof" state!) two addtional rafts are depicted.    

Fox Fires on New Year's Eve at the Garment Nettle Tree at Oji (a.k.a. Fox fires) (Print 118 in the series 'One-Hundred Views on Edo' )  

The Foxfires design is the conclusive print Hiroshige produced for his 'One-Hundred Views on Edo' -series, published shortly before his death, and is the only one in the entire series that involves the fantasy theme. This mysterious design is based on an old Japanese legend in which fox spirits (kitsune) gather around the Garment Nettle Tree on New Year's Eve. Hiroshige's terrific use of different shades of blue adds to the ominous emanation. He often used Prussian blue in his work earning him the nickname "Blue Hiroshige".

Model Railroad Set Terminology for Beginners

Model railroads can be play toys, but they can also be a lifelong hobby. Just as every occupation has its own specific terminology, so does every hobby. Model railroading is no different. Many of the terms used in railroading are also used in the modeling world, but there are also some terms that are unique to the world of the model railroad.

To a beginner just starting out, the terminology may seem as strange as a foreign language; understanding that language can be the key to enjoying and being a successful modeler. Whether you consider your models a long term pastime, or short-term play toys, understanding the lingo that goes with them is a must.

Here then, are some of the terms a model railroad beginner may encounter, with a brief definition.

NMRA is the National Model Railroad Association, an organization of railroad modelers dedicated to advancing scale model railroading, and providing education, standards, and advocacy.

In the modeling world, a Prototype is the real life object, in this case, a train, on which the model is based. Scale is the ratio of the model to the prototype. The most common scales are HO (1:87), N (1:160), and Z (1:220).

A Train Set is a set that has everything a beginner modeler needs: an engine, cars, track, and power pack. A Shake the Box Kit refers to the most simple model kit, where very little assembly is required, as does Ready-to-Run. Kit Bashing, or Kit Mingling, is when a modeler uses parts of different kits to make an original model. Building a model railroad without the use of any kit is called ‘Scratch-building’.

Layout is the setting of a model railroad, including the train, track, buildings, and landscape. An Access Area is an opening or space in a railroad layout that allows a person to reach an area of the layout that would otherwise be unreachable.

Railroad tracks are made of Rails, which are the t-shaped parts of the tracks that are laid end-to end in parallel lines, and Ties, which are the cross bars that attach to the rails.

Flextrack is a flexible track that can be cut to size to create either straight or curved track. Once it is nailed in place, the track firms up. The rocks that hold tracks in place are called Ballast; in the modeling world, it also helps reduce noise. The Roadbed is the groundwork on which the railroad tracks are laid. It is often made from cork or foam, both of which can be purchased in hobby or craft stores.

Models or layouts may call for white glue, which is a water-based glue (such as Elmer’s), and is good for gluing porous materials like wood or paper; it is not waterproof when dry. Yellow glue (or carpenter’s glue) is resin glue that is also good for porous materials; it makes a stronger joint than white glue, and is waterproof when dry. Craze occurs when glue is put on an incompatible plastic and the plastic is ruined.

An Airbrush allows a thin, smooth layer of paint to be applied to a model, and is a good tool for weathering. Weathering refers to making models look more realistic by simulating the conditions that age a train, such as sun, wind, rain, and dirt.

Digital Command Control (DCC) is the control system used to control model trains. It is the most common system for model railroading.

Turnout is a modeling word that refers to a track switch, which is the device that that lets a single rail track split into more than one. It is called a turnout to prevent confusing it with electric switches, which are used to control electric current. The word Interchange refers to one or multiple tracks which can be used to exchange cars among different railroads. Standard is a measurement or value that allows materials from different manufacturers to be used together, without worry of incompatibility.

Trains as play toys have been around for years and years, and have entertained thousands, if not millions, of children. A model railroad, with its own language, its unlimited potential for growth and new equipment, and its fascination for children of all ages, is just another one of those toys.

Under your graphics settings in game, you must be using the 'software' rendering mode because for some reason this will only allow the left handed view.
